STAFF BIOGRAPHY
Kim has worked for the firm for more than 10 years. During her tenure she has served as the managing paralegal and in February, 2008 was promoted to the firm's administrator.
Kim is a long-time resident of Arizona, with a diverse professional and personal background which includes living and working in Hong Kong and Japan. Kim attended college in southern California, completing two years and majoring in Political Science. She subsequently earned her Paralegal Certificate in 1997 from the American Institute of Paralegal Studies in Phoenix, where she finished first in her class.
As the managing paralegal at Baird, Williams & Greer, Kim worked on complex commercial litigation cases from preliminary due diligence to deposition, arbitration and trial. Along the way, Kim prepares clients for their role in the case, assists them with case preparation and keeps them apprised of lawsuit progress, including response to many inquiries. In particular, Kim is responsible for electronic document management and electronic exhibit presentation at trial. Preparation lays the groundwork for success; Kim has assisted on several cases that went to the jury with multi-million dollar verdicts in favor of Baird, Williams & Greer clients.
In addition to her current emphasis on commercial litigation, Kim has worked in a variety of other areas, including: domestic relations; wills, trusts and estates; bankruptcy; employment law; civil rights litigation; and personal injury. Because the diversity of the practice sections for Baird, Williams & Greer is unique for a boutique litigation firm, Kim has adapted litigation software for electronic trial presentations ranging from airline accident reconstruction, to commercial land use (imagining the development "virtually"), to business failures and their revenue analysis. She works extensively with digital photography and associated computer programs. Kim has been instrumental in the firm's representation of the $500 million dollar Baptist Foundation of Arizona criminal defense litigation, which has involved several million documents during discovery, nearly twenty thousand trial exhibits.
Up-to-date knowledge of practice areas and document processing is critical, so Kim stays current on the most recent litigation software advances. Her experience with video-taped depositions and electronic trial presentations would be envied by most trial attorneys. When Kim is not busy working to secure favorable litigation outcomes for clients and advancing her legal and technical knowledge, her other interests include swimming, tennis, singing, decorating her home, reading and golf.
