ATTORNEY BIOGRAPHY Jake Lewis was admitted to practice law in Arizona state courts in
2008. He received his B.S. Degree in Management, summa cum laude, from
Arizona State University in 2005. He received his J.D. from the
University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law in 2008. During
law school, Jake was a summer clerk at Baird, Williams & Greer, joining
the firm shortly after graduation. Prior to law school, Jake gained
experience in the construction law field, preparing preliminary notices,
lien and bond claims, and stop notices for two different law firms,
including working for two years as the manager of the Construction
Services Department of a Phoenix firm. This prior experience has helped
Jake gain expertise at locating the information necessary to prepare
lien and bond claims.
Jake primarily practices commercial litigation, with a focus on
construction litigation and lien and bond issues. Jake assists material
suppliers and subcontractors in perfecting and foreclosing their lien
and bond claims, while helping his clients maintain important business
relationships with their customers. Jake has participated in
presentations and seminars on Arizona lien law and related issues to the
local construction community and to clients in Arizona and California.
Away from the firm, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and two
children. He also volunteers with a local Boy Scout troop and with a
youth group at his church. He was a missionary in the Dominican
Republic and speaks Spanish.
