Najia Kerrin | Partner

Ms. Kerrin is an AV rated trial lawyer who focuses her practice on employment law, commercial litigation, appeals, and complex civil litigation. She has been lead counsel in dozens of hard fought jury trials dealing with discrimination, wrongful termination, wage claims, civil racketeering, and nursing home malpractice.

Over the past two decades, with discrimination litigation skyrocketing and the legal landscape in constant flux, Ms. Kerrin’s remarkable success in a particularly unpredictable area of law has won the respect of judges, peers, and clients. Her holistic approach to employment law builds on her Wall Street experience in which she spear-headed solutions to corporate strategic human resource issues as an Organizational Development executive. That insider’s insight gives Ms. Kerrin a considerable advantage in prosecuting and defending lawsuits involving employment contracts,, non-compete agreements, severance agreements, discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage claims. Several of her employment law trials were covered by local and national media.

Ms. Kerrin has also prosecuted and defended commercial cases involving business contracts, civil racketeering, unfair trade practices, trade secrets, and fraud. She has represented clients in a broad range of industries including manufacturing, restaurant, hotel, marketing, medical providers, construction, insurance, mortgage lending, banking, and sales.

In the past several years, Ms. Kerrin’s practice has devoted a substantial amount of time to other areas of complex civil litigation, particularly nursing home malpractice cases. After a month-long jury trial, she won a defense verdict for a national long term care corporation sued in six-figure wrongful death claim.

Ms. Kerrin serves on the Executive Council of the Arizona Bar Association. She served as chair of the Employment Law section and is regularly called upon to share her experience and expertise in seminars for fellow attorneys, as well as for corporate management and trade groups. She has taught Business Law and Legal Process as an adjunct professor.

Ms. Kerrin’s drive to succeed is innate. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in just two years and went on to earn a Master of Science in Management & Organizational Development by the age of 21. After several years working at the headquarters of Chubb & Son insurance and then at Chemical Bank, she started law school on a full scholarship. Ms. Kerrin was formerly a partner with Bowman and Brooke LLP and was managing partner of Kerrin & Osborne PC for twelve years.

Born in New York City, Ms. Kerrin has a rich international background and has enjoyed worldwide travel all of her life. Ms. Kerrin is fluent in French. As the owner of a small design company (www.DreamStonz.com), she designs and creates art jewelry which has been successfully juried by several artist panels and has gained the SRAJD certification, an international organization of artists in jewelry design. Of all her achievements, Ms. Kerrin is most proud of her three sons.
