J. Ernest Baird is Managing Partner and with Daryl Williams, Founding Partner of Baird Williams & Greer, LLP. Mr. Baird served in the Arizona House of Representatives for six years (1991-1997). During that period, he served as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee (1993-1994), and was elected majority leader for the last two years of his term (1995-1997).

In addition to being a leader in the Republican party, Mr. Baird is an AV rated attorney with over 32 years experience in commercial and real estate transactions, shopping center developments, commercial leases and commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, construction contracts, and construction defect disputes. He has represented fortune 500 companies in major real estate transactions.

Mr. Baird was born in Tempe, Arizona. he lived in Argentina from 1963-1965 where he learned to speak, read and write Spanish. Ernie Baird received his B.A. from Brigham Young University in 1968, and his J.D. degree from Duke Law School in 1971. Mr. Baird served as a member of the editorial board, Duke Law Journal from 1970-1971. His past practice includes Sherman and Sterling in New York City, New York from 1971-1972. From 1972-1976, Mr. Baird served as a Captain, JAGC, U.S. Air Force (1972-1976) and was stationed in England from 1973-1976.
